It's been a while since my last portrait!

I have been busy with school, exams and such, but here I am with another portrait to de-stress before another exam in 2 weeks' time.

It's been a while since my last post!

Been a little busy with school and all, so I didn't really have the time to draw, but I decided to do a little quickie and here it is, a quickie of the character L from Death Note!

I have just reformatted my PC a few days ago, and silly me, I forgot to backup my portrait files so they're gone forever now.
Also, I'm still trying to configure my GIMP to the old settings I had.

Hope I can get more time for more quickies!

So I managed to complete the portrait before sunrise today.

Was chatting with a friend about Alex in We Got Married when I got the idea to paint a portrait of Alex.

WIP: Alex Chu of Clazziquai

So I was chatting with a friend on Facebook about the Korean reality variety show We Got Married last night and being a fan of Alex Chu, I thought I'd paint a portrait of him, dedicated to this friend of mine.

This is what I have so far.
Just a basic sketch with some some shadows.
I have just started working on his hair, which I usually do before getting on the details on the face.

The bar on the right is what I always use as my palette for quick picking of the different shades of black/grey/white, but I usuallu end up just using black and white with varying pressures on my tablet pen anyways.

When will this portrait be ready?
I'm not sure myself.
I'll paint it whenever I have the time.

Camui Gackt of Malice Mizer

Portrait of J-Pop singer Gackt, which took a few weeks since I didn't have much time to spend on it due to having a part-time job.

This piece is a lot tougher than the portrait of Mike Shinoda, especially due to the fact that it's my first time painting detailed hair and eyes.
Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the results.
